Dave and Dana Price - Satisfied (Original 1975 Private Xian Folk LP)

Great Christian folk album, w/ excellent vocals by Dana & fine guitar (acoustic, electric & 12-string) from Dave (including wicked acoustic slide on the title song).
(That's it, no other instruments & Dave doesn't sing; on one track Dana doubles her vocals, otherwise it's just 1 voice/1 guitar throughout.)
First of 5 albums by this Brit (he) /American (she) couple who were known on the Christian circuit but not really much beyond that.

Rare privately pressed LP out of Baltimore, Maryland.
This has some great folk psych tracks that has a great mix of mellow and dark.

MARK JORG - Come Home My Son (1970 or 1973 US Private Folk LP)

"From that pure and simple ’60s breed of folksinger comes Mt. Angel Abbey student Mark Jorg.
He performs ten original songs, usually with just acoustic guitar for backing (a couple songs have assistance from others on flute, second acoustic guitar and female vocal harmony’s). Poetic flowing lyrics, stark atmosphere, competent guitar work, and a convincing tenor voice made for the style add up to a refreshing listening experience. Songs shift around from quiet sensitive moods to bleak minor-key expressions to graceful finger-picked passages to vibrant strummed buildings. Serious tone save for some satirical jabs in ‘Ecology’ (“the war against pollution is going very well, the young protest the old and the old say go to hell”). ‘Master’s Walk’, ‘This Lonely Man’, ‘Man And Wife’, ‘What Have You Done’ and ‘Blind Man’ are some of the other titles. Absolute fantastic and intensive Psychedelic, only issued in 1971 on german BASF.
Loner, progressive Folkrock album, partly more rocking, partly more folky, with English vocals, highly recommendable.

SNAKEHIPS - "Snakehips Arnold & the King of Boogie" (1974 UK Private Folk on the Spaceward label)

There's no secret anymore: some of the finest bands and artists from Cambridge have passed through the Spaceward Studios. Snakehips is one of them. And just like Gigymen, the band met at Emmanuel College. It consists of Dave Goldberg (vocals, guitar, little plastic guitar), Mark Harrison (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals), Doug Arnold (vocals, harmonica, guitar) and Gerry Dudgeon (bass guitar on Lost Property).

ROB PEARSALL & FRIENDS - Abiding in Him (Great 1977 US Private Xian Folk LP)

Rob Pearsall and his fellow Californians deliver a pleasant simply-arranged friendly homemade blend of light, medium and heavy sounds, all more or less within that general category of west-coast melodic rural piano-and-guitar folkrock.
Maybe a bit like Parable in that respect.
The group’s quieter side focuses on piano ballads and solo acoustic songs, while diversions like the country rocking ‘Free In Jesus’ proudly plug in the guitar for a more aggressive edge.
Attractive cover illustration of woodland brook setting seems befitting of the mood.
