One of my top ten US privately pressed LPs !
Jill Cislaghi wrote and recorded her only album in her senior year in 1977 at Regis College, in Massachusetts near where she grew up.
Cislaghi pressed 500 copies on Massachusetts' own vanity custom-pressing plant Fleetwood Recording Co. She made this record for her friends and wound up selling nearly every copy at her college, so this LP is incredibly hard to come by now.
Listen : A1. July 20th
& A3. Don't Make Me Just Another Memory
& B5. For Bea (My Grandmother)
A really great album ! Most of the songs are solemn and haunting. Very beautiful. Collectors of loner/outsider music as well as those dedicated to Acid Archives will truly love this rare bird.
