Fran O'Rourke - Irish Folk Songs (Rare and great 1976 Irish Folk LP released in Germany)

 

Extremely rare micro private press of pleasant acoustic Irish folk. Solo project with no backing or dubbing at all, vocal and a very dry guitar is all. Totally noncommercial as well, cover reads “Not for public sale or broadcast. Private circulation only”. Fran is Irish but it is recorded and pressed in Germany. 5 stars in Pokora.
Great songwriting and interpretation full of emotions.

Hand - Everybody's Own (Swiss Psych Folk Masterpiece released in 1972 on Evasion)

 

Everybody's Own is the extremely rare, only record by the 70's Progressive Folk/Rock band, Hand.
Recorded in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1972, it highlights the timeless compositions of Marc Osborne and Tony Angier.
Written and performed when most band members were still in their teens, it blends the characteristic sounds of the British Folk Revival as represented by Donovan, Nick Drake and Pentangle, with the psychedelic vibe of the Byrds, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Neil Young.
